How Music Saving Lives Made a Difference

Featured Student

Braxton St. Hill is a 17-year-old violinist and senior at Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C. An autistic artist with a deep commitment to music, Braxton is an active member of Ellington’s String Ensemble and Orchestra, as well as the DC Youth Orchestra.

In addition to the violin, Braxton is a multi-instrumentalist who plays piano, keyboard, alto saxophone, and drums by ear. His musical training emphasizes both performance and musicianship, with a strong foundation in reading and interpreting music.

Braxton plans to pursue music studies in college to build a career in composing and conducting.
